Video installation and Archival pen on wax paper (for each, 70x100cm)
2022

The artist created a series of motifs based on the question of whether lace could be reimagined using abstract mathematical language and geometric tools. This research was inspired by A.J. Lee's academic work 'Notes of Islamic Star Patterns' from 1975. The series comprises ten drawings that analyze crochet lace geometrically, which has traditionally been seen as an ornamental tool. Additionally, there is a video that explains the stages of producing a motif in detail.
